The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County seeks emerging and established visual artists for its Public Artist Directory.
Selected applicants are eligible for inclusion on the CAA's Art in Public Spaces web page. This database will be shared for participation in various Walton County projects, and artists may be contracted to design, fabricate, and install public art. Artwork sites may include properties such as local businesses, libraries, recreation centers, parks, sidewalks, and more.

Artists will be selected for the database based on history of past work, community engagement, and ability to collaborate with the CAA employees and project liaisons. A selection panel will convene to screen all eligible applications.

The 2026 Flutterby Arts Festival proudly celebrates its 34th year of honoring the magical migration of the Monarch Butterfly through our region with a full day of art, music, and family fun. Join us on Sunday, November 8th, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Pavilion at Watersound® Town Center for a beautiful day filled with creativity and community connection.

This beloved annual event features a juried artist marketplace, hands-on kids’ art activities, live music, theatre and dance performances, lawn games, a student butterfly art exhibit, and our signature butterfly parade! Flutterby attracts around 1,000 attendees throughout the day, creating a vibrant opportunity for artists to share and sell their work.

This year, the artist marketplace will also serve as a Holiday Market, giving festival-goers the chance to shop early for unique, handcrafted gifts just in time for the season. It’s the perfect way to showcase your work to families looking for meaningful, one-of-a-kind presents during the most festive time of year.

Artists are invited to apply to exhibit and sell their original artwork at the Flutterby Festival. Space is limited and exhibitors will be selected through a jury process. 

Exhibitors will receive a 10’ x 10’ booth space nestled around or near the Pavilion and Ambrosia Restaurant. Load-in is available from 3–6 p.m. on Saturday, November 7th or from 7–9 a.m. on Sunday, November 8th. All vendors are required to have a tent to cover their booth — no exceptions. •  Early Bird Booth Fee: 11:59 p.m. CST due by October 29th, 2026  Fee: $125 | $100 for CAA Members
•  Regular Booth Fee: 11:59 p.m. CST due by October 29th, 2026  Fee: $150   

Please submit 1–2 images of your booth setup and 3 images of your artwork with your application.

Power is extremely limited and not guaranteed — please indicate your power needs when applying and we will do our best to accommodate.

We will be accepting a limited number of Food Trucks for this event, and all vendors must have a valid license to operate in Walton County. We expect approximately 1,000 attendees throughout the day.

If you would like to participate, please complete the application below by September 25, 2026.   Invitations to participate will be sent by September 30th, and the $200 vendor fee will be due by October 9th.
